Accuracy is the whole point of this site. This page explains how we research, verify, and maintain every license-renewal record — and how to flag anything that looks wrong.

Official sources only

Every record is researched from the profession's official state licensing board, commission, or registry. We link to the exact official page we used on each guide, so you can verify the facts yourself and file there.

Facts in our own words

We record facts — renewal cycles, fee figures, CE/CPE hours, deadlines, and rule summaries — paraphrased in plain language. We don't copy board prose. Facts aren't owned by anyone; how a board words them is, so we restate the substance in our own words.

We don't guess

When a board doesn't publish a single, fixed figure — for example, a flat renewal fee, or a profession that isn't licensed at the state level — we say so rather than invent a number. You'll see "see board," "varies," or a clear note instead of a made-up value.

Dated and re-verifiable

Each guide shows a "last verified" date. Rules change, so the date tells you how fresh the information is and reminds you to confirm anything time-sensitive with the board before relying on it.

Independence from advertising

Our data and rankings are not influenced by advertising or affiliate relationships. Commercial partnerships never change a requirement, a comparison, or which guides we publish. See our advertising disclosure.

Corrections

If you spot an error or something out of date, email [email protected] with the page link and, ideally, a link to the official board page. We verify and update confirmed corrections promptly and refresh the "last verified" date.

Limitations

This is an unofficial reference, not legal or professional advice, and not every nuance of every license fits in a summary. Licensing requirements can change at any time and can depend on your specific situation. Always confirm the current rules with your state board before you renew or file.
